The current version of Tea & Crumpets is built for up to six players with a GM for a total of seven at a table. It can be played with any size ranging from the GM and a single magical girl up to that max. When we launch the new version this will change.

I was wondering how many players this game is good for and whether or not it needs a GM?

Neat, efficient, great theming. Love the inclusion of a Cliffhangers table, and I love love the dedicated Monologue mechanic. Super cute!
Thank you! Funny thing is the Cliffhanger Table was a very last minute thing I thought would help solidify the theme of the game.
